Aspirin:
Other options:
  • Anti-inflammatory fruits, veggies & berries will help to decrease swelling in the body which can lead to inflammation.
  • Ginger: reduces blood clots and inflammation.
  • Turmeric: has been proven more effective that anti-coagulants and painkillers.
  • MSM: is an adaptogen herb that can speed up post-injury healing or post-surgery recovery and pain.
  • Cinnamon: can decrease risk factors for heart disease and helps to improve circulation.
  • Magnesium: reduces risk of hypertension and helps to maintain healthy blood pressure.
  • Bromelain: an enzyme that decreases inflammation and pain.
Antibiotics: 
Other options:
  • Garlic: fights against bacteria.
  • Honey: used as an ointment can help the wound heal and draws out any infections. My also help wounds to heal because provides a protective layer that fosters a moist environment. 
  • Ginger: natural antibiotic.
  • Echinacea: helps to fight inflammation that is associated with bacterial infections.
  • Goldenseal: treats respiratory and digestive issues. Combats unhealthy bacteria, diarrhea and UTI's. It contains berberine which is an important component found in natural antibiotics. This is not safe for infants or pregnant women.
  • Clove: effective in killing different strains of bacteria. Often used in dental procedures. 
  • Oregano: boosts the immune system and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Anti-depressants:
Other options:
  • SAM-e (S-adenosylmethionine): natural calming agent.
  • St. John's Wort: derived from a yellow flower that may change how the brain processes serotonin, dopamine & norepinephrine (essential neurotransmitters that are essential for healthy mood regulation).
  • Omega-3 fatty acids: helps to improve mood and combat depression because of it's ability to reduce the stress-related hormone cortisol.
  • Lavender: is naturally soothing and can aide in rest and sleep.
  • 5-HTP (5-Hydroxtryptophan): helps to change serotonin levels in the brain to help with lifting moods and reducing anxiety.
  • DHEA (5-Dehydroepiandrosterone): steroid hormone that the adrenal glands naturally produce. Some people may not be producing enough, aides in easing symptoms relating to PTSD, depression & anxiety.
Anti-Anxiety:
Other options:
  • Valerian Root: encourages relaxation and is often used as a sleep aide for insomnia.
  • Kava Kava: promotes relaxation, muscle relaxation and improves cognitive ability.
  • Ashwagandha: adaptogenic herb (healing plants that help balance, protect & restore the body) which helps to regulate hormones that contribute to anxiety.
  • Rhodiola "golden root": adaptogenic herb that encourages calmness, relaxation and eases stress.
  • Lavender
  • Passion Flower: can help with having a calming effect on those that are feeling restless and anxious (often recommended at night because it can cause sleepiness).
  • Chamomile: helps to ease digestion and encourages sleep.
  • Lemon Balm: known for it's calming and soothing properties which can help to reduce anxiety and improve moods.
