This week are focusing on the power of women. As we celebrate mothers or the women that we love most EMPOWERMENT
is key during this time when many may be experiencing self-doubt, uncertainty and maybe some of those "stinkin thinkin" thoughts (see last weeks blog)! While we are practicing stay-at-home regulations, tensions within families are prevalent. I have heard many of my friends doubt themselves as a mother/wife/partner/sibling/daughter, etc. Now is the best time to kick that negativity to the curb!
The power of words are remarkable (even better if you can get descriptive and use objective instead of subjective wording). For example: "Mom I love that you take time every week to talk to me on the phone. It shows me that you really value our time together and want to learn about my week which excites me"! Subjective would be "I like our phone calls". Nice but not as powerful!
We acknowledge that this Mother's Day many will not be able to physically be with their loved ones, and that may mean you are getting creative on ways to express love and gratitude. As mentioned above, words and affirmations are powerful tools for healing and are great add-ons to your creative gifts this year! Below are some ideas for empowering mantras:
Put yourself on the top of your to-do list everyday and the rest will fall into place.
Regardless of how everyone else feels about me, I am going to choose to be happy and completely love myself today.
I am not a bad mom, I am a mom having a bad day.
Today I will do my best. I will be proud of myself for my accomplishments (no matter how big or small)! If I start to get stuck on stressors, I will take a step back, forgive myself, put it behind me and I WILL MOVE FORWARD:)
Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth go (so smile beautiful and make it as amazing as you are!)
It's okay to ask for help...remember you can do anything, but you cannot do everything:)
Keep shining...the world needs your light and remember to embrace the light you give.
Get up; Dress up; Show up & NEVER GIVE UP!
Be the reason someone smiles today.
